Rehab & Renovation Debris Detroit

Construction Debris Removal in Detroit

Opening up a hundred-year-old Detroit house produces a particular kind of pile: plaster and lath, cast iron radiators, a clawfoot tub, old kitchen cabinets and a basement’s worth of whatever the last owner stored. The City’s bulk truck won’t take most of it. We will — a half truck is $431, and concrete or brick is $219 a quarter truck.

Rehab Work in the Old Neighborhoods

Corktown was listed on the National Register in 1978, Woodbridge in 1980 and Indian Village in 1972. Those blocks are full of houses being restored, and most restorations begin with a large pile of old material that has to go somewhere.

Before the Contractor

Clear the old contents first so the crew isn’t working around a basement full of someone else’s storage.

During Demo

Plaster, lath and old fixtures leave in rounds as the job goes, without a container blocking the street or the alley.

Construction Debris FAQs

Will Detroit’s bulk pickup take my renovation debris?

Only small amounts. Renovation pieces must each weigh under 50 pounds, the whole pile has to fit in two cubic yards, and concrete, brick, asphalt and shingles are excluded entirely.

How is concrete priced?

By the quarter truck, $219, because it’s so heavy. If a masonry job is big enough that a roll-off container makes more sense, we’ll tell you up front.

Can you take cast iron radiators and tubs?

Yes. A radiator is $123 and a cast iron tub $185; both go to metal recycling.

Do you work for contractors?

Yes. We can come back in rounds as a job progresses, each with its own photo quote.

Do you remove paint or chemicals?

Latex paint cans are priced items. Solvents, fuels and other hazardous materials need a household hazardous-waste program instead.
